To ensure the normal operation of the glass-lined reactor, the main performance and installation and usage precautions of the glass-lined reactor are described as follows:
Technical Specifications for Enamel Reaction Vessels
1. Acid resistance:
It has good corrosion resistance to various organic acids, inorganic acids and organic solvents. If the enamel-lined glass samples produced by our factory are boiled in 20%HCI solution for 48 hours, the corrosion rate is 0.9 g/m ².d (the index of the superior grade product is 1.0g/m ².d).
2. Alkali resistance:
Enamel glass has poorer resistance to alkaline solutions than to acidic solutions. However, the enamel-lined glass samples of our factory were placed in a 1N sodium hydroxide solution for corrosion, with a test temperature of 80℃ for 48 hours. The corrosion rate was 6.76g/m2.d (the index of the superior grade was 7.0g/m2.d).
3. Operating temperature: When heating and cooling the glass-lined equipment, the process should be carried out slowly. The glass-lined equipment manufactured by our factory has a operating temperature range of 0 to 200℃ and can withstand sudden temperature changes of ≥200℃.
4. Thickness of the porcelain layer: The thickness of the porcelain layer for glass equipment is 0.8-2.0mm, and that for accessories of glass-lined equipment is 0.6-1.8mm.
5. Withstand voltage: Enamel has excellent insulation properties. When the enamel layer is inspected with a 20KV high-frequency electric spark within the specified thickness, the high-frequency electric spark must not penetrate the enamel layer.
6. Impact resistance: The smaller the internal stress of the glass layer, the better the elasticity, the greater the hardness, and the higher the bending and compressive strength, the better the impact resistance. When the glass layer of our factory is impacted by a steel ball with a diameter of 30mm and a weight of 112g within the specified thickness, the impact energy is 282×10-3J (the index for first-class products is 260×10-3J).
Installation of the glass-lined reactor
1. Handling: During handling, only the can ears are allowed to bear force (when not in packaging). Rolling and using crowbars are strictly prohibited. Vibration and collision should be avoided. It is strictly forbidden for vulnerable parts such as pipe clamps and clips to bear force.
2. Hoisting: During hoisting, mesh wire ropes must be hung at the designated positions (such as jacketed pipes, tank ears, etc.). The lifting ring on the can lid is only used for lifting the can lid. It must not come into contact with any object. Lift steadily and place gently.
3. Pre-assembly inspection: Before assembly, the inspectors should wear clean soft-soled rubber shoes and enter the container to check if there are any abnormal phenomena in the glass-lined layer.
4. Installation of flanges: When tightening the flange bolts, they should be tightened gradually in pairs along the diagonal, with uniform force applied. Do not tighten them completely at once to avoid cracking the enamel layer due to uneven force, which may affect the service life.
5. Installation of clips: First, check if the clips are complete and if the quantity complies with the regulations. During installation, ensure that the spacing is equal and the tightness is appropriate to guarantee safe operation and reliable sealing.
6. Installation of the agitator: A. First, place the agitator into the tank (lay a soft pad at the bottom of the tank), then lift the tank cover to the predetermined position, and at the same time, insert the sealing piece into the agitator shaft. Then, lift the agitator and connect it to the output shaft of the reducer, and lock the anti-loosening device. B. Adjust the coaxiality and perpendicularity of the stirring shaft and the seal to meet the technical requirements. Then, let the stirring shaft rotate slowly. Only when the operation is smooth and there are no abnormal phenomena, can the motor button be tried to be turned on again until the operation is normal (this period of time should not be too long).
7. Selection of gasket: The choice must be based on the category, concentration and temperature of the medium. The nature and usage method of the gasket itself should be suitable for the process requirements. Currently, our company supplies gaskets of asbestos rubber and rubber-coated polytetrafluoroethylene for users to choose from.
8. Welding: A. Welding is strictly prohibited on the outer surface of the glass-lined tank.
B. When welding nozzles, tank lugs and tank bases on the jacket, electric welding must be used and cooling measures should be taken. Gas welding is strictly prohibited.
C. When welding in the space near the enamel layer, the enamel surface, tank opening and pipe opening should be tightly covered to prevent welding slag from flying and damaging the enamel surface.
